Parks Canada has released launch dates for Banff National Park campground reservations in 2025. As usual, dates are staggered across the country, with Banff reservations opening through Parks Canada Reservations at 8 am (MST) January 24, 2025. Exactly 30 minutes before opening, users are directed to a waiting page and at 8 am MST, everyone in the “waiting area” is randomly assigned a place in the queue. Once your it’s your turn, you will have 30 minutes to make a reservation (the screen to the left is what backcountry campers love to see!)

The following Banff National Park campgrounds can be reserved for 2025. They are listed below with operational dates:
Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court: May 8 to October 6
Tunnel Mountain Village 1: May 8 to October 6
Tunnel Mountain Village 2: May 8 to October 6
Two Jack Lakeside: May 8 to October 6
Two Jack Main: June 19 to September 2
Lake Louise: May 16 to September 30
Protection Mountain: June 19 to September 16
Johnston Canyon: May 22 to September 21
Castle Mountain: May 29 to September 21
Rampart Creek: May 29 to September 22
Silverhorn Creek: May 29 to September 29
Banff Backcountry Camping Reservations in 2025
The process for making Banff backcountry camping reservations in 2025 is the same as for road-accessible campgrounds, except that the launch date January 27, 2025. On that day, log onto the Parks Canada Reservations website between 7:30 am and 8 am MST and you’ll be redirected to a waiting page to be randomly assigned a place in the queue at 8 am.
